The event will be held at the end of the year, which will give visibility to good initiatives. The Board of Directors of the Packaging Cluster entity, meeting in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona) last September 18, approved recognizing the best projects promoted by companies through the entity, in areas such as digitization and sustainability. The delivery ceremony will take place on the evening of December 13 in Barcelona in an event that will be open to all members.

It should be noted that the dynamism and impetus of innovation projects among companies in the sector is one of the main tasks of the entity, which currently has more than 30 projects managed through different national and international calls, in topics and areas such as they can be new materials, new business models and digitization of industrial processes, among others. The meeting also served to take stock of new member registrations, which this year already has more than 20 new registrations. It is expected to close the year with more than 140 members, thus positioning the Packaging Cluster as one of the largest entities in southern Europe articulated around packaging. The meeting of the board served to set the tone for the next activities, where the next meeting of Packaging Net "Where is the Catalan industry going?" stands out. which aims to promote networking and debate on key issues between managers in the sector. In this session Mr. Oriol Amat and the President of the organization Mrs. Martina Font will talk about the future of Catalan industry. The day will take place on October 20 in the morning at Hotel Qgat, which has the sponsorship of Caixa d'Enginyers. Remember that for the sake of transparency and in order to involve in the governance of the companies in the sector that consider it so, the Boards of Directors of the entity are open to all members. In this sense, the last Board had the participation as invited entities of Hinojosa Packaging (manufacturer of corrugated cardboard) and ACCIO (business department of the Generalitat of Catalonia).
