The Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB), the Cyprus University of Technology (project coordinator) and the Department of Environment of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, participate in the European programme Business4Climate. The programme aims to commit businesses to get involved more actively in climate action by reducing their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 8% by 2030.

Project activities include

• the development of a methodology for the identification of baseline GHG emissions,
• the training of businesses on climate action,
• the identification of available and future financing schemes of GHG reduction-related projects in Cyprus.

The project is funded by the RIS Climate-KIC through the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
