Call for Expression of Interest for Venue Providers - Cluster Booster Academy #3

DEADLINE: 22 September 2023

The European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) is excited to announce a Call for Expression of Interest for universities, education institutions, research centers, regional agencies/authorities, and clusters themselves to host the upcoming third Cluster Booster Academy. This two-day in-person training event is scheduled to take place in March 2024, (ideally during the week of 11-15 or 18-22 March 2024).

As a venue provider, this is an opportunity to position yourself as a hub of innovation and collaboration. By hosting cluster managers from all over Europe, you can take a leading role in regional development, research, and knowledge exchange.

Join us in creating an environment where ideas flourish, and connections thrive. Don't miss the chance to be at the forefront of this dynamic event!

Objectives

To effectively manage a cluster, a diverse set of skills is necessary to provide efficient support to all members, address the needs of various stakeholders, and contribute to the digital and green transition, while increasing resilience and ensuring the cluster's own sustainability.

The European Cluster Collaboration Platform provides a specialized 4-day intensive training series to address the increasing demand for a comprehensive training programme in cluster management.

The Cluster Booster Academy aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • Provide cluster managers with practical skills and support to implement their action plans effectively.
  • Enable European cluster management teams to offer diverse and innovative services to SMEs
  • Enhance the skills of cluster staff through a "train the trainers" approach, strengthening the cluster ecosystem.
  • Foster community building and networking among participants throughout the Cluster Booster Academy.
  • Strengthen participants' ability to address structural challenges within their clusters.
  • Enhance problem-solving skills through real-world case studies and examples.
  • Support cluster managers in implementing advanced strategies and building sustainable business models.
  • Promote the understanding of clusters' role in regional development and economic growth.
Format

The Academy is an annual event that hosts between 30 to 40 participants. In its third edition, it will once again adopt a hybrid format, spanning four days:

  1. 2 days online training sessions (which will be organised and hosted on a platform managed by the ECCP team)
  2. 2 days in-person training sessions (approximately two months after the virtual sessions, participants will have ample opportunity to put their newly acquired knowledge and skills into practice)

This opportunity allows you to connect with up to 40 Cluster managers from across Europe, alongside certified and experienced coaches. As a venue provider, you will not only establish valuable new contacts but also engage in captivating discussions that can open doors to exciting collaborations. Moreover, expect powerful synergies to emerge among your network, the training session participants, the ECCP, and yourself, amplifying your visibility through collaborative promotion activities before, during, and after the training sessions. Don't miss out on this chance to expand your horizons and make a lasting impact on the cluster management landscape!

Target Audience

This call for expression of interest is specifically aimed at individual stakeholders or consortia who are interested in facilitating the gathering of cluster managers from various regions in Europe. Therefore, the primary target audience includes regional development agencies, research centers, universities, and similar entities.
