We are thrilled to announce that ENTRANCE will be part of the joint European Commission (EC) representation at the upcoming Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) 2023. This prestigious event is the world's largest and most influential gathering dedicated to cities and urban innovation. It will take place in Barcelona, Spain, from November 7th to 9th, 2023. 

About the Event: 

Organized by the Smart Cities Marketplace on behalf of the European Commission, the SCEWC is set to bring together approximately 30 partners, including initiatives, projects, and Directorate-Generals (DGs). This collective presence is united under the umbrella of the European Commission, showcasing a diverse array of initiatives that address urban and sustainable city activities from various perspectives. 

The overarching goal of this joint representation is to create a European movement focused on adopting, replicating, and scaling sustainable urban solutions. These efforts aim to accelerate the realization of the EU Green Deal and REPowerEU at the local level, ushering in a greener, more sustainable future for our cities. 

Our partners and initiatives encompass a wide range of areas and backgrounds, including support services for accelerating the EU Green Deal, Positive Energy in Districts and Buildings, New European Bauhaus, and Digitalization for a Greener Future. This diversity ensures a comprehensive approach to urban sustainability. 

The Smart Cities Expo World Congress will feature various activities, including: 

• Congress & Agora Sessions: These sessions will address crucial EC policies and cross-cutting topics, with a particular focus on scaling up solutions across cities. 

• Booth Representation: ENTRANCE and other attending projects and initiatives will host engaging booth sessions. These sessions will complement the agora sessions and provide insights into the practical work being done on the ground. 

• Networking Spaces: Attendees will have the opportunity to interact and learn more about the services offered by each partner project/initiative.
