Hi-Tech-TEX - New sustainable and cross-sectorial value chains towards excellence in Hi-Tech Textiles to foster the uptake of innovation and increasing competitiveness.

Hi-Tech-TEX main objective is to strengthen cluster management excellence and facilitate exchanges and strategic partnering between clusters and specialized eco-systems and cities across Europe, including through implementation of the ClusterXchange mobility scheme. Hi-Tech-TEX partnership integrates Portuguese Textile Cluster/ CITEVE (the coordinator), from Portugal, AEi TÈXTILS and ATEVAL, from Spain; NTT, from Italy; DCC TTC, from Turkey; CLUTEX, from Czech Republic.

Textile meets Habitat

Hi-Tech-TEX final event, on the topic “Textile meets Habitat”, took place on January 23rd, 2024, in Portugal, at the CITEVE facilities, attended by 36 participants.

The final event started with a welcome from the general manager of CITEVE and a brief presentation of the project and the results achieved during its implementation by the Portuguese textile cluster, the project's coordinator.

This event included a communication specialist, from LikeaPro company, who dynamized the coaching session "A funny way of being serious @organizations", followed by a series of presentations related with this two sectors, textile and habitat.

The challenges to the Habitat value chain were presented, by the Sustainable Habitat Portuguese Cluster. Several innovative developments of textile applications in the habitat sector, like textiles application in roofs, textile in building interiors and textiles on new constructions developments, were presented by CITEVE, and advanced materials for building and living, were presented by CENTI.

The final part of the event included a workshop to connect the textile and habitat sectors, to identify needs and new developments and facilitate potential collaborations between these two sectors.
