POIM describes Priority Axis 6 Promoting Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency to Support a Low Carbon Economy, and Specific Objective 6.2 - Reducing Energy Consumption in Industrial Consumers.

Priority Axis 6 and, in particular, Objective 4 which supports the transition to a low-carbon economy in all sectors, aims at promoting clean energy investments and energy efficiency to contribute to the goals of the Europe 2020 Strategy on final energy consumption from renewable resources and increasing energy efficiency. Namely, it targets production of renewable energy through Specific Objective 6.1 on energy consumption in industry, 6.2 and 6.3 on household energy consumption, and high efficiency cogeneration through 6.4.
