ASSELUM LUMINOTECNICS SL is a Spanish lighting SME that was born in 2002 in response to a growing technology and standardization in the lighting sector. It provides solutions in the design of lights, tests of light sources, training in lighting and service of optical design software and lighting calculation. Additionally, ASSELUM LUMINOTECNICS is one of the most important laboratories of photometries in Spain with more than 10,000 tests realized for all types of light sources.

The aim of its business digital transformation project entitled “AMTAL” is to analyse the methodology and technology necessary for the automation of LED luminaire tests of the different equipment and enable a shift towards global automated testing. This project will be carried out in collaboration with MAQMETAL AUTOMATION SL, the technology provider with expertise in test automation and in the lighting industry's needs and requirements. Together, they will investigate the Asselum’s business processes and propose solutions that replace traditional paper-based test records with automatic and digital processes, thereby enhancing efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
