Silicon Saxony Explores Mazovia's Innovation Scene

From January 29th to 31st, 2024, Silicon Saxony including its member company PEER Group GmbH, joined the EXCITE consortium on a three-day business mission to uncover the economic vibrancy of the Mazovian region around Warsaw. The mission aimed to delve into key topics like Green Energy, Smart Grid, Smart City initiatives, Business System Solutions, Industry 4.0, Fin-tech, Med-tech, Aerospace, GIS, Environmental Protection, and Agriculture.

Hosted by the Mazovia Cluster ICT (MCICT), a key national cluster, the mission's agenda included informative sessions, company visits, and networking opportunities. Noteworthy highlights encompassed engaging start-up presentations at the MCICT office and enlightening site visits to CEZAMAT, Energy Clusters Network (ECN), and the Mazovian Energy Agency, offering Silicon Saxony a comprehensive view of Mazovia's dynamic innovation ecosystem.

Diverse Start-up Showcase & Site Visits to CEZAMAT, ENC, and the Mazovian Energy Agency

A standout feature of the agenda was the diverse showcase of innovative Polish start-ups associated with MCICT. Visionary companies such as Viva Drive, Solhotair Technology, Arvena, Mywallet, Masta Solutions, and GLP presented their expertise, covering smart mobility solutions to cutting-edge technologies in renewable energy.

The mission's agenda further included insightful site visits to prominent institutions. The visit to CEZAMAT's clean room not only offered a unique perspective on technological advancements but also underscored Mazovia's crucial role in shaping sustainable energy solutions on a broader scale. Additionally, exploring the combined heat and power plant presented by ECN in Sokołów Podlaski delved into cutting-edge technologies in the energy sector, showcasing Mazovia's position as a hub for innovative energy solutions.

The visit to the Mazovian Energy Agency provided Silicon Saxony with valuable insights into the region's commitment to environmental protection and sustainable energy solutions.

Insights into Mazovia's Economic Diversity

The three-day business mission to the Mazovian region proved to be a comprehensive exploration of innovation and economic potential. Hosted by our cluster partner the Mazovia Cluster ICT (MCICT), the mission successfully blended informative sessions, engaging start-up presentations, and enlightening site visits. It provided participants with valuable insights, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange. Thank you so much to our host MCICT and its members for their enlightening contributions!

It was the last mission and ClusterXchange of Silicon Saxony’ project EXCITE that finished its activities on 31st January 2024.

About EXCITE

EXCITE aims to strengthen cluster management and facilitate exchange and strategic partnership between cluster staff and cluster members by using the ClusterXchange system. ClusterXchange is a new pilot project to promote short-term exchanges to better connect industrial ecosystems in Europe. The project will focus on skills, processes and services related to digital transformation - both in terms of the cluster organisation itself and its members, to be able to support them in successfully accessing global markets.
