We are very proud to announce the results of the IoT4Industry 2 nd (and final) call for collaborative projects ! The call closed on 11 th June 2019 with 96 proposals were submitted in that round, an increase of 80% in comparison to its 1 st iteration ! In a bid to improve the efficiency and sustainability of the European food industry, thirteen partners from eight countries have joined forces in the S3FOOD project. S3FOOD, coordinated by Flanders' FOOD, will supply €3.9 million to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the food industry, make better use of digital technology. The project partners will focus on facilitating and accelerating the use of smart sensor systems for improved quality control, better resource efficiency and a higher level of food safety and traceability – all important steps towards solving central challenges in the agri-food system.
