The United Nations Conference for Trade and Development - UNCTAD (INSME Member) biannually organizes the World Investment Forum gathering investment stakeholders to facilitate dialogue and action on investment-related challenges. This year's edition will take place from the 17th to the 21st of July in Nairobi, Kenya and will be held in conjunction with the 14th session of the United Nations Conference for Trade and Development.

The Forum aims at providing a platform to debate on the issues related to the theme "investment for development" and to promote investment flows contributing to sustainable and inclusive development.

The World Investment Forum is a high-level, biennial, multi-stakeholder gathering designed to facilitate dialogue and action on the world’s key emerging investment-related challenges. Its mission is to provide a platform where a debate on “investment for development” can take place and ultimately to promote investment flows that contribute to sustainable and inclusive development. With its ties to UN member States, the World Investment Forum is able to bring together a broad coalition of investment stakeholders at the highest level who can influence the global investment landscape.
