Visit Innovation Hubs with the EIC - Barcelona is open for business
The European start-up scene is teeming with life: many European cities are establishing themselves as some of the most vibrant start-up hubs the world has to offer.
During the autumn, the European Innovation Council (EIC) is organising three dedicated Hub Visits, to Stockholm, Barcelona and Berlin.
These events are a great opportunity to get to know these hubs inside out, meet all the innovation players and submerge yourself in their business culture.
Innovation Hub Visit
The EIC Hub Visit is a novel concept, delivered by the EIC Business Acceleration Services. It combines the unique elements of flagship-events such as corporate days, investors days and community trainings, while adding a dash of digital sightseeing of some of the most exciting start-up hubs in Europe.
Whether you’re curious to find out what these hubs can offer in terms of conditions and funding schemes, you would like to meet with large corporates and investors active in these hubs or you’re looking to enter a new European market, there’s something for everyone.
The start-up scene in Barcelona
The dynamic business climate in Catalonia offers numerous competitive advantages to workers who also experience one of the best Mediterranean lifestyles in Southern Europe.
Barcelona is a region where business opportunities and capital investments are brought together making business grow: we can find successful corporates like Estrella Damm, Suez, Desigual, Mediapro, Almirall and Ferrer as well as investment firms such as Asabys, Invivo Capital and Inveready - all of whom will be attending the EIC Innovation Hub.
Catalonia has the highest number of innovative companies in Spain (21.5%) and is considered one of the most attractive start-up hubs in Europe.
The EIC Hub Visit to Barcelona will take place on 2-5 November 2020 and consists of several dedicated sessions throughout the four days.
Who can apply?
The call is open to all EIC beneficiaries, both EIC Accelerator and EIC Pathfinder. The final attendee list will be established based on a first come, first served basis.
