Back on the bioXclusters Plus’ successful fact-finding mission to US in June 2017

Thanks to their close cooperation with EEN (Europe Entreprise Network) offices based in the US and the European American Enterprise Council (EAEC), the bioXclusters Plus alliance organised a fact-finding mission to the Great Philadelphia region, where many big pharmas and large research institutes and famous hospitals are located. The 2-day mission agenda, 15 to 17 June 2017, was intense, including meetings with clusters-like organisations (such as the Wistar Institute) and policy makers, as well as big pharmas headquarters, universities facilities and hospitals (like the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia - CHOP). The discussions aimed to identify opportunities of collaborations for innovation players as well as exchange about cluster policies and financial support for collaborations available in US and EU (like in H2020 programme). Thanks to these fruitful exchanges, the alliance should soon sign a cooperation agreement with the Wistar Institute (that offers among other things soft-landing programme). After this rewarding stay on the East Coast, the partners travelled to the West Coast to participate in BIO Intl. Convention in San Diego.
