In 2018 OBR CTM S.A. (CTM) successfully implemented next stages of the construction of new ships dedicated for the Polish Navy, i.e. “RATOWNIK” rescue ship and two other KORMORAN type minehunters. CTM participates in the implementation of the mentioned above projects, in accordance with contracts signed on December 27, 2017, providing the key systems for vessels in terms of missions to be carried out (Integrated Combat Systems for „KORMORAN” type vessels or Integrated Mission System for “RATOWNIK" type rescue ship, whose technological foundation is CTM developed „SCOT”, the first Polish Combat Management System) and equipment (pioneer Passive Defence System, SHL-101/TM and SHL-300 sonars, explosive charges „Toczek” to countermeasure sea mines).

During the last year, CTM has concluded numerous agreements for the implementation of both national and international projects. Among the most important agreements the following should be mentioned:

  • a contract signed on March 28, 2018, within the framework of a European consortium, for the implementation of the European Defense Agency (EDA) OCEAN 2020 Project. The aim of the project is to develop the potential of unmanned air, surface and underwater platforms to conduct the reconnaissance and surveillance of the European Union territorial waters;
  • a contract signed in March 2018, within the international consortium, for the implementation of the EDA project entitled "Modular Lightweight Minesweeping II" (MLM II). The aim of the project is to bring the previously developed, within the EDA projects, modular mine-countermeasure systems from the level of technology demonstrators to the prototypes level;
  • a contract signed on July 31, 2018, for the co-financing of the "Polish Network of EMC Laboratories" (EMC-LabNet) Project, implemented under the  Measure 4.2 of the " Intelligent Development Operational Program for the years 2014-2020", co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund. The signatories of the agreement were members of the Scientific-Technological Consortium, formed by: Wrocław University of Technology (Leader), OBR CTM S.A. (CTM) from Gdynia, Rzeszów University of Technology, Białystok University of Technology, Military University of Technology and supervised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, National Information Processing Institute. The main goal of the EMC-LabNet Project is to extend and supplement the technical and laboratory base of the Consortium members and to create a strategic, unique network of specialized laboratories that provide services in the field of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC);
  • September 5, 2018, a contract signed for the development of the innovative "Mobile Radionavigation HF System SRN" for the Polish Navy. It was concluded between the Armament Inspectorate (IU) representing the State Treasury and CTM, part of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. (PGZ). The SRN is designed to carry out a full range of tasks related to the determination of the position of Polish Navy vessels, in particular in the field of marine measurements, marine rescue, search, identification of underwater objects, including mine-like objects.
