On June 5, 2020, the Austrian Federal Ministry for Digitization and Business Location presented the Digital Action Plan Austria. According to a recent study, digitisation has the potential to create 20,000 jobs in Austria every year and increase GDP by 1.9%. The Corona crisis has triggered an additional digitalization  boost. However, in order to help small and medium-sized enterprises with the digital transformation, service points (Digital Innovation Hubs) are needed to help formulate the concrete problem, translate the need into technological solutions and get them implemented.

A good example of the practical support provided by DIHOST is a logistics solution found together with the Food Cluster Lower Austria for the optimisation of sales routes for the regional distribution of bakery products. 

This project in cooperation with the Austrian Digital Innovation Hub DIHOst was presented as success story in a special programme of the Austrian ORF on the occasion of the presentation of the Digital Action Plan Austria: In German: Zukunft Digital Gestalten, s. clip 11 "Hilfe bei Digitalaisierung")
