Mission for Growth in Taipei, Taiwan, 3-5 June - Matchmaking opportunities and briefing sessions
The Director-General responsible for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, Mr Daniel Calleja, will lead a Mission for Growth to Taipei, Taiwan, from 3-5 June. Mr Calleja will be accompanied by a delegation of representatives of business associations and entrepreneurs to discuss with Taiwanese entrepreneurs how to foster industrial cooperation and identify business opportunities.
A matchmaking event was organized back to back with the fair COMPUTEX, the largest ICT trade show in Asia and the second largest in the world. Because of the importance of ICT across sectors, many EU companies may find it useful to visit COMPUTEX to find business partners. It serves as a sourcing hub for hi-tech and ICT procurement, new product launches and announcements in technology applications. The fair was expected to attract more than 38.000 international visitors.
A briefing session on "How to do business in Taiwan and in the EU, opportunities, challenges and success stories", a guided visit of Computex and a visit of the Taipei Neihu Technology Park were organized.
