Between 4March and 8 April 2021, the Excellence Partnerships SMARTENERGY and BLUES, together with the participants, Tenerrdis and Mazovia Cluster ICT (MCICIT) located in France and Poland organised a virtual ClusterXchange.

The exchange was hosted by Tenerrdis and consisted of training for the visiting organisation as well as networking, and business improvement opportunities for both the visiting and hosting organisations. The specific objective of the exchange was to get the visiting organisation acquainted with trends within Smart Grids and their role for energy transition, in addition to allowing them to meet key innovation players in the sector from France and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in particular.

The Mazovia Cluster ICT decided to participate in this exchange due to the existence of several domestic projects in Smart Grids, as this was a good opportunity to learn about current trends. Tenerrdis offered specific insights to the visiting organisation regarding the state of research and innovation in the sector, the key players, the available research facilities and laboratories, as well as successful projects, in order to facilitate Mazovia’s expansion of its international network and future business partnerships and collaborations.

According to MCICIT, the programme consisted of different subjects from the smart grid area, and the facilitators were very experienced.

Ewa Rekosz, Mazovia Cluster ICT, stated that “Thanks to this exchange, Mazovia Cluster ICT (MCICIT) has gained a good insight into Smart Grid solutions in region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The exchange was also a great example of how the region/country/entity can be promoted internationally.”.
