Towards Green Transition Facility supports the Slovenian Wood Industry Cluster by increasing knowledge on Circular Economy approaches

The Wood Industry Cluster of Slovenia is a non-profit organisation founded in 1999 by Slovenian woodworking companies and institutions. It now comprises one-third of employees in the Slovenian wood sector and the country’s most important research institution.

The cluster works on various projects to support the needs of their member companies. Erika Valentinčič explains that through the Towards Green Transition, the cluster’s team received training from their ECCP experts. The cluster gained a lot of new knowledge and useful information on the circular economy which it intends to pass on to Slovenian wood furniture companies.

Shortly, the Wood Industry Cluster will organise a workshop through which they will share knowledge and show the importance of the circular economy to their members. Following this, they will advise each member individually on where to start their green transformation and how to begin working towards a more circular and sustainable business model.
