European Cluster Initiatives
- Feb 01, 2017
As an information hub, ECCP collects and structures a wide variety of information relevant for cluster organisations from various European programmes and initiatives.
The European cluster approach for growth is based on three main pillars: emerging industries and interregional cooperation, cluster internationalisation and cluster excellence. At the horizontal level, through the European Cluster Observatory (ECO), the Commission services also provide statistical information, analysis and mapping of clusters and cluster policy as well as makes available tools for cluster collaboration, through this European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP). This policy approach is implemented through concrete EU initiatives launched under EU's financial programmes, mainly COSME (and its predecessor CIP) and Horizon2020.
Below, you will find information on the concrete EU initiatives financed under these programmes according to the three main pillars of the cluster approach as well as on other related initiatives and reports of relevance to clusters.
