The Aerospace sector is one of the largest and most powerful industries in the world and a positive trend is expected both in the aviation and in the space sector. However, it presents a global value chain that is not environmentally sustainable yet. Therefore, the EACP-EUROSME project wants to rethink the present sector conditions, stressing the importance of the environment with new cluster strategies that support the Circular Economy across the entire Aerospace value chain and life cycle.
The EACP-EUROSME project aims to stimulate the cooperation between clusters that come from differently
developed regions to develop collaborative paths based on their distinctive skills and their specific resources to exploit their complementarity, to exchange best practices, and to develop and implement a joint cluster partnership strategy with a common “European” vision for the Aerospace smart specialization strategy.
Indeed, the project will start the activities with the definition of a common strategy for the Aerospace smart
specialization priority under the Circular Economy perspective. Then, the six clusters will produce an assessment of the state-of-the-art of both cluster organization as well as member SMEs to identify the needs and the opportunities.
This initial phase will then move to the implementation of a roadmap that put in action the C2C and B2B collaboration opportunities. Therefore, all the partners will have the occasion to build strategic linkages through interregional ecosystems along the Aerospace value chain and implement joint activities providing support services to industry actors and SMEs.
