EXTRATEX: Cluster excellence expert(s) recruitment for cluster training

EXTRATEX, the partnership that brings together textile, automotive and plastic clusters to increase cross-sector innovation, has launched a call for experts to deliver a training programme for capacity building. The morning session was dedicated to the changing of workplaces in a post-Covid-19 time, thanks to the contribution of architect Pablo Gonzalez Bootello. He presented the white paper written by the Smart City Cluster and Batch Arquitectura, which gives an overview of the situation and trends and proposes suggestions for the design of the future workplace.

This morning session was dedicated to the role that clusters have in relation with Digital Innovation Hubs. Contrary to popular conceptions, clusters and Digital Innovation Hubs do not need to be competitors, as they fulfill different functions. The three experts in this session underlined that they should be collaborators to create the best possible environment for the companies.

The European Commission's Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUST) is seeking the views of public bodies on ways to empower consumers to play an active role in the green transition.

A preparatory study is being carried out in the context of the European Green Deal, which provides a roadmap for making the European Union's (EU) economy sustainable and will provide input into the preparation of some of the initiatives included in the Circular Economy Action Plan (published in March 2020 and one of the main building blocks of the European Green Deal).
